Your ShopTester 200 is programmed to prompt you after every 500 tested cartridges to clean the contact pins. You may have to clean certain slots earlier if the ShopTester 200 can no longer recognize cartridges correctly. This can happen if the contact pins become dirty faster than normal from using one slot more than other or testing cartridges with dirty contacts

To clean the contact pins follow the instructions below:
Press the menu key and then press clean contacts.

Each time you press a key the Shop Tester 200 will extract the pins of the next slot.

Clean the pins carefully! Please use the enclosed brush and denatured alcohol or 100% acetone. Please make sure that the contact pins are completely dry before you use the ShopTester 200 again.

If after cleaning the ShopTester 200 still has difficulty recognizing cartridges, please check the contact pins for mechanical defects such as bent or broken pins. Pins can be damaged when a cartridge is not inserted correctly or removed before the test is completed.
